Route Choice Set Generation on High-Resolution Networks

چکیده
This study seeks to find a strategy capture the most observed trajectories with minimum number of algorithms. GPS information on 4,538 real trips from 131 travelers in 2008 was collected and analyzed Minneapolis-St. Paul (the Twin Cities) as part I-35W Bridge Collapse study. The high-resolution road network Cities includes 108,561 nodes 277,747 links. Labeling link penalty approaches are combined generate alternatives based either or free-flow speed. Overall, best 10 labels, average, 40 unique routes generated for each origin-destination pair, around 80% all could be captured an overlap threshold. About 88% have average deviation within 50 m compared matching result when combining labels introduced this Freeway-preferred cover more than freeway-avoided routes, peak coverage occurs freeway travel is weighted between 0.8 1 non-freeway A random effects panel model used predicting alternative route trajectory. Multinomial mixed logit models path-size term applied selection. These indicate that which shorter distance, faster speed, contain higher percentage, incur fewer traffic lights, likely selected.

Evaluation of choice set generation algorithms for route choice models
This paper discusses choice set generation and route choice model estimation for large-scale urban networks. Evaluating the effectiveness of Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) requires accurate models of how drivers choose routes based on their awareness of the roadway network and their perceptions of travel time. Many of the route choice models presented in the literature pay little ...
متن کاملRoute Choice in Road Networks - Observing and Modelling Route Choice
Until now transport planners and modellers have little information on the actual route choice in road networks as route choice is difficult to observe. The paper presents various techniques for observing route choice (floating car data, mobile phone data, automatic number plate recognition systems, bluetooth detection) and shows results of route choice observations. Based on the analysis of the...
متن کاملRoute Choice on Transit Networks with Online Information at Stops
Passengers on a transit network with common lines are often faced with the problem of choosing between either to board the arriving bus or to wait for a faster one. Many assignment models are based on the classical assumption that at a given stop passengers board the first arriving carrier of a certain subset of the available lines, often referred to as the attractive set. In this case, it has ...
